Attorney Katia L. Wilson considers herself a native of Tallahassee, Florida. Attorney Wilson graduated from Leon High School in Tallahassee, Florida, with honors. Attorney Wilson was a first generation college student who went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Political Science, from Florida A&M University ("FAMU"). Attorney Wilson continued her education at FAMU, earning a Masters of Allied Social Sciences with a concentration in Political Science.
In 2015, Attorney Wilson relocated to Orlando to pursue her legal education at FAMU College of Law. While attending FAMU, Attorney Wilson was highly involved with the student body, which garnered her the honor of receiving the 2014-2015 Spirit of Service Award from the Black Law Student Association. During her matriculation through FAMU College of Law, Attorney Wilson had the pleasure to serve as the 1L representative for the Black Law Student Association, the 1L representative for the Student Bar Association, the President of the Women's Law Caucus, the law student representative for the Central Florida Association of Women's Lawyers, the law student representative for the Florida Association of Women's Lawyers, and Student Bar Association President.
Attorney Wilson also participated in internships in Family Law, Bankruptcy, and Criminal Law. She went on to complete the Homelessness Clinic at FAMU College of Law, which included Pro Bono legal assistance in Family Law matters for the homeless community in Orlando Florida. Attorney Wilson returned to FAMU College of Law in 2017 to work as a law school recruiter as her way of giving back and adding to the next generation of Legal Rattlers.
Attorney Wilson Joined Sara Jones Law, P. A. in 2018 as an Associate Attorney. Attorney Wilson practices Family Law, Personal Injury, and Criminal Defense law.
